Paper Submission Information

IAJBS 2024 Paper Submission Information

We understand that most institutions require a paper to be accepted before any commitment to funding can be made.

Submissions will have rolling acceptance beginning in September 2023 to allow you flexibility for funding submissions.

Submission Formats

IAJBS 2024 invites the following types of submissions:

Posters (rolling acceptance beginning September 2023)

Guidelines

• Posters should be displayed in portrait style. The maximum size of your poster should be a standard A0
• All posters should include title, name of authors, institution, city and country. The lettering of the title should be at least 25 mm high and the main text at least 10 mm high.
• The poster should be easily readable from a distance of 2 meters.
• Grants and support received in regard of the work described should be acknowledged on the poster.

Extended Abstracts (rolling acceptance beginning September 2023)

Guidelines

• Submissions should be in English or Spanish, single-spaced, 12-point font, Microsoft Word file format.
• Abstracts should not exceed 500 words.
• Presentation of abstracts will be approximately 10 minutes.
• The abstract should discuss the importance of the topic, and explain the method, data, and data source used for the study when applicable. It is also helpful to state stages of the research and preliminary results.
• Do not include references or links in the abstract.
• Additional tables and figures may be submitted as a file attachment with the abstract submission.
• Notification of acceptance will be sent out on a rolling basis. All full papers of accepted abstracts are eligible for presentation at the conference.

Full Papers (rolling acceptance beginning September 2023)

Papers submitted should be no more than 7,000 words and authors should anticipate an accompanying presentation upon acceptance.

On submission of an abstract, authors will be asked to nominate the presenter for the 15 – 20 minute presentation.

• Abstracts should not exceed 500 words.
• The abstract should discuss the importance of the topic, and explain the method, data, and data source used for the study when applicable. It is also helpful to state stages of the research and preliminary results.

Workshops (rolling acceptance beginning September 2023)

Interested participants should submit a proposal for a 30-45 minute workshops which may include a panel or facilitators, specific activities, group work or other such activities as you see fit.

Guidelines

• Submissions should be in English or Spanish, single-spaced, 12-point font, Microsoft Word file format.
• Proposal should not exceed 500 words.
• Proposal should cover content and purpose of the workshop and any related activities therein
• Notification of acceptance will be sent out on a rolling basis.
